AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING SECTION 15.08.010 OF THE PORT ORCHARD MUNICIPAL
CODE ADOPTING THE 2000 UNIFORM PLUMBING CODE.
Copies of Ordinance No. 1864 are available for review at the office of the City Clerk of the City of Port
Orchard. Upon written request a statement of the full text of the Ordinance will be mailed to any
interested person without charge. Thirty days afler publication, copies of Ordinance No. 1864 will be
provided at a nominal charge.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD
AMENDING SECTION 15.08.010 OF THE PORT ORCHARD
MUNICIPAL CODE ADOPTING THE 2000 UNIFORM PLUMBING
CODE.
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Ordinance No. 1727 on June 22,
1998 thereby adopting the 1997 Edition of the International Association of Plumbing and
Mechanical Officials' Uniform Plumbing Code by reference pursuant to RCW 35.21.180
as the official plumbing code of the City of Port Orchard; and
WHEREAS, Kitsap County recognizes the benefits of the Uniform Plumbing Code
and is adopting it for construction standards in unincorporated areas, and
WHEREAS, it is beneficial to the community to maintain consistency in
construction standards, whenever possible, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON,
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 15.08.010 of the Port Orchard Municipal Code is amended
to read as follows:
15.080.010 Adoption of the Uniform Plumbinq Code. The 2000 Edition of the
Uniform Plumbing Code is adopted by reference pursuant to the provisions of RCW 35.21.180
as the official Plumbing Code of the City. One copy of such Code is on file in the oftice of the
City Clerk. The Building Official shall be the Administrative Authority as referenced in the
Plumbing Code.
