11/05/1997 - Special - MinutesPort Orchard, Washington November 5, 1997 Acting Protem Mayor Carolyn Powers called the Council of the City of Port Orchard, Washington, to order in Special Session at 7:30 P.M. at City Hall, 216 Prospect Street. Councilmembers present: Wyatt, Morrison, Geiger, Powers, Van Zee, and Grable. Staff present: City Planner Gross, City Engineer Curies and Deputy Clerk Merlino. Acting Protem Mayor Powers reopened the Draft Zoning Ordinance Public Hearing which was continued from October 22, 1997. The purpose of holding a series of Public Hearing meetings is to review and discuss the draft Zoning Ordinance. Public input is invited and encouraged during discussions on the draft Zoning Ordinance. City Planner Gross opened discussion and asked for Council's review and/or modifications to Section DI: Density, dimensions, and design requirements Section 1: Purpose No change Section 2: Interpretation of tables No change SECTION 3: Density and dimensions: Section 3 refers to table on page 164-A Robert Gallegos requested the table on page 164-A be identified and mentioned in Section 3 as Table 1. Council concurred with this request. City Engineer questioned definitions on page 56 and 57 regarding Site Area -Useable Gross and Site Area -Useable Net and requested further clarification. After much discussion on maximum and minimum density lot sizes, Council requested City Planner Gross to present alternate wording and parameters for adopting densities for lot standards.
