Council of the City of Port Orchard, Washington, called to order for Special
Study Session by Mayor Leslie Weatherill at 7:30 PM at City Hall, 216 Prospect
Street. The purpose of this Study Session is to (1) discuss the current labor
negotiations and (2) discuss the current solid waste contract.
Council members present: Clauson, Morrison, Powers, Geiger, Van Zee and Grable.
Councilman Childress absents.
City Staff present: City Treasurer Miller, City Engineer Curles and City
Attorney McCluskey.
Labor negotiation consultants: Michael and Betty Meglemre.
Mayor Weatherill adjourned Council into Executive Session to discuss the current
labor negotiations for 2 hours.
At 9:30 PM Mayor Weatherill called for a 15 minutes recess with meeting
reconvening at 9:45 PM.
Mayor Weatherill at 9:45 PM adjourned Council into Executive Session to discuss
the current solid waste contract for 2 hours.
Meeting adjourned at 11:45 PM.
