The following is a summary of an Ordinance approved by the Port Orchard City Council at their regular
Council meeting held March 12, 2001.
ORDINANCE NO. 1817
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON
AMENDING ORDINANCE NOS. 1537, 1652, 1792, 1794 AND
REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 1600 TO RESCIND THE $400 ROAD
IMPACT FEE.
Copies of Ordinance No. 1817 are available for review at the office of the City Clerk of the City of Port
Orchard. Upon written request a statement of the full text of the Ordinance will be mailed to any
interested person without charge. Thirty days after publication, copies of Ordinance No. 1817 will be
provided at a nominal charge.

ORDINANCE NO. 1817
AN ORDINANCE OF THE ClTY OF PORT ORCHARD, KITSAP
COUNTY, WASHINGTON AMENDING ORDINANCE NOS. 1537;
1652, 1792, 1794 AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 1600 TO
RESCIND THE $400 ROAD IMPACT FEE.
WHEREAS, the City of Port Orchard implemented a $400 road fee with Resolution No.
1656 to help mitigate the impacts of increased traffic on sections of Melcher Street and Pottery Avenue;
and
WHEREAS, the city addressed road impacts for the new developments of Highlands of
Ross Creek, Golden Pond, Flower Meadows and Heron Ridge with Ordinances No. 1537, 1652, 1792,
and 1794 respectively, and
WHEREAS, RCW 82.02.020 has been adopted by the State of Washington and
preempts this form of taxation by cities and counties; now, therefore
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS.
SECTION 2. The following are hereby repealed:
(a) Condition No. 22 of Ordinance No. 1537 (Highlands of Ross Creek)
enacted January 13,1992
Condition No. 19 of Ordinance No. 1652 (Golden Pond) enacted
May 13,1996
Condition No. 32 of Ordinance No. 1792 (Flower Meadows) enacted
April IO, 2000.
Condition No. 23 of Ordinance No. 1794 (Heron Ridge) enacted
May 8,2000
Ordinance No. 1600 (Highlands of Ross Creek) is repealed in its
entirety, enacted January 24,1994.
