12/04/1989 - Special - MinutesPort Orchard, Washington December 4, 1989 Council of the City of Port Orchard, Washington, called to Special Session by Mayor Leslie J. Weatherill at 7:30 PM. Councilmembers present: Clauson, Wilson, Geiger, Powers, Smith and Grable. Councilman Childress unexcused. Also present: City Treasurer Miller, Police Chief Mathews, City Engineer Curles, Fire Chief Snow and City Clerk Hower. Mayor Weatherill informed those present the purpose of this Special Session is to hold a Public Hearing to discuss and finalize the proposed 1990 budget and requested public input. No public input received. At the request of Mayor Weatherill, Finance Committee Chairman Robert Geiger reviewed proposed 1990 budget allocations. Councilman Geiger moved to approve the proposed 1990 City of Port Orchard Budget as follows: Current Expense Fund $2,112,227 Street Fund 324,700 Arterial Street Fund 390,000 By -Pass fund 48,350 Special Investigative Unit Fund 9,000 Six -Year Emergency Medical Levy Fund 35,900 Community Events Fund 4,000 Water -Sewer Utility Fund 1,361,894 making a total of operating funds in the amount of $4,286,071. Other nonoperating funds totaling $5,293,338 combined with operating funds bringing the total City of Port Orchard 1990 Budget to $9,579,409. The motion to approve the City's 1990 Budget was seconded by Councilmen Clauson and Grable and unanimously approved by the City Council. Meeting adjourned at 7:37 P.M. Cl e r k Mayor
