12/07/1987 - Special - MinutesPort Orchard, Washington December 7, 1987 Council of the City of Port Orchard, Washington, called to Special Session by Mayor Leslie J. Weatherill at 7:30 PM. Councilmembers present: Clauson, Childress, Wilson, Geiger, Lloyd and Grosso. Councilman Grable excused. Also present: City Treasurer Miller, Police Chief Mathews, City Engineer Curles, Fire Chief Snow, Municipal Court Judge Dolan,-G�i-ty and City Clerk Hower. Mayor Weatherill informed those present the purpose of this Special Session is to hold a Public Hearing to discuss and finalize the proposed 1988 budget. Mayor Weatherill requested that Finance Committee Chairman, Robert Geiger review proposed 1988 budget allocations. Councilman Geiger outlined proposed budget preparation process and proposed budget allocations. Mayor Weatherill called for public input on the proposed 1988 budget as presented by Councilman Robert Geiger. No input was received. On motion by Councilman Geiger, seconded by Councilman Grosso, the Port Orchard City Council approved the proposed 1988 City of Port Orchard Budget as follows: Current Expense Fund total $1,815,536; Street Fund total $299,924; Arterial Street Fund total $528,000; By-pass Construction Fund total $88,297; Six -Year Emergency Medical Levy Fund total $35,000; Community Events Fund total $3,000; Special Investigative Unit Fund total $9,000; Federal Shared Revenue Fund total $900; Federal Shared Revenue carried forward $2,000; Water -Sewer Utility Fund total $897,828 making a total of operating funds in the amount of $3,679,485. Other non operating funds totaling $4,423,200 combined with operating funds bringing the total City of Port Orchard 1988 Budget to $8,102,685. Meeting adjourned at 7:43 P.M.. Qom--- Cl erk Mayor
