Mayor -Leslie J. Weatherill called Special Meeting of the City
Council to order at 7:30 P.M. to consider the proposed 1986
City of Port Orchard Budget.
Councilmembers present: Clauson, Wilson, Geiger, Miller,
Grosso, and Grable. Councilman Childress absent. Staff
present: City Treasurer Miller, City Engineer Curies, Police
Chief Mathews, Police Sargeant Loflin, Municipal Court Judge
Dolan, Fire Chief Snow and City Clerk Hower.
Councilman Geiger briefly reviewed proposed budget and explained
adjustments to preliminary budgets, presented by Mayor and Depart-
ment Meads, were primarily in capital o.utlay categories.
Councilman Clauson moved to approve Ordinance No. 1329, an
Ordinance of the City of Port Orchard, Washington adopting the
budget for the year 1986 and levying a tax sufficient to raise
$246,545 for Current Expense purposes and $78,071 for Street
purposes, seconded by Councilman Geiger and carried with 6 ayes.
Councilman Geiger moved to adjourn Special Budget Hearing of the
City Council at 7:35 P.M., seconded by Councilman Clauson and
carried with 6 ayes.
