City Council and Planning Commission of the City of Port Orchard, Washington, called to order for a Joint Study
Session by Mayor Weatherill at 7:30 PM at City Hall, 216 Prospect Street.
Council members present: Rick Wyatt, Don Morrison, Robert Geiger, Carolyn Powers, Warren VanZee, and Tom
Stansbery.
Planning Commission members present: John Hokanson, Tadina Crouch, Gil Michael, David Hollar, Todd
Cramer, Fred Chang, and Rita Dilenno.
Staff present: City Engineer Curies, City Planner Wenman, City Attorney Combs, and City Clerk Parks.
City Engineer Curies outlined the purpose of this joint study session is to provide an opportunity for open
discussion between the City Council and Planning Commission.
Discussion primarily focused on areas such as, where are we going as a community, what are we doing to get
there, what is the role of the Council and Planning Commission, what does each body expect from the other, and
how can we improve communications.
