Mayor Powers called budget meeting to order. Present: Councilmen
Libby, Eugene Caldwell, Wilson, Lee Caldwell, Geiger and Haberl.ach.
Councilman Roos absent.
Councilman Geiger spoke on the adjustments and alterations made in
the preliminary budget. Also stating that there were no salary
increases within the budget.
Also stated that the reconciliation of the funds would be completed
at the end of the year when all the expenditures were known.
Stated that the City would sustain a Loss of approximately $25,000
during 1978 because of Initiative 4345.
Also stated that it appears that the Variable Gas Tax will remain.
The Police Budget was increased about $6,000.00 over 1977.
Stated that $12,200.00 had been allocated with $9,000.00 doing to
Street and $3,200.00 to Current Expense.
Councilman Geiger moved that the budget as presented be adopted.
Seconded by Councilman Libby and carried.
Meeting adjourned at 7:45 P. M.
