Council of the City of Port Orchard, Washington, called to order for a Study Session by Mayor Protem
John Clauson at 7:30 PM at City Hall, 216 Prospect Street.
Council members present: John Clauson, Rick Wyatt, Robert Geiger, Warren Van Zee, Carolyn
Powers, and Tom Stansbery.
Staff present: City Engineer Curies, City Treasurer Tompkins, and Deputy Clerk Merlino.
Mayor Protem Clauson opened meeting stating the purpose of this Study Session is to discuss the
City/County Cost Revenue Sharing.
Two phases of cost revenue sharing were discussed.
The first phase of discussion centered on annexation of commercial and residential parcels outside city
limits and how revenues would be shared between the city and Kitsap County.
The second phase of discussion centered on commercial developments outside city limits and how
revenues would be shared.
After much discussion Council agreed the Growth Management Committee would meet with a
committee from the City of Bremerton and then meet with Mary McClure and Kitsap County.
Meeting adjourned at 9:30P.M.
