A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON, DECLARING A CERTAIN VEHICLE SURPLUS
TO THE CITY'S NEEDS AND AUTHORIZING SAID VEHICLE TO
BE SOLD AT AUCTION.
WHEREAS, the Port Orchard Police Department has acquired a 1986
Buick, VIN #1G4GJ47A3GP213376, as part of a drug conviction and forfeiture action;
and
WHEREAS, the vehicle is not suitable for Police Department or other City
work; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is in the best interest of the City to
sell said vehicle at auction and that the net sale proceeds should be deposited in the drug
seizure account as required by law; now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
THAT: The City Council finds and declares that a 1986 Buick, VIN
#1G4GJ47A3GP213376, is no longer needed and therefore is surplus to the City's needs.
THAT: Said vehicle should be sold at auction and the net sale proceeds applied to
the drug seizure account.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard, SIGNED by the
Mayor and attested by the Clerk in authentication of such passage this 28th day of June
2004.
