A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON,
ENDORSING THE KITSAP 2002 COUNTYWIDE LEGISLATIVE AGENDA
DEVELOPED BY THE KITSAP REGIONAL COORDINATING COUNCIL.
WHEREAS, the jurisdictions throughout Kitsap County recognize that speaking with one
voice to the Washington State Legislature is the most effective way to accomplish common legislative
goals; and
WHEREAS, the Kitsap Regional Coordinating Council (KRCC) developed a consensus
Countywide Legislative Agenda for the 2002 Washington State Legislative Session, through a series of
written surveys of elected and appointed officials, joint meetings of the KRCC Policy Board and Cities'
elected and appointed officials, and monthly meetings of the KRCC Policy Board; and
WHEREAS, the 2002 Countywide Legislative Agenda as attached hereto and
incorporated by reference herein has been identified by City and County elected officials as addressing
the most important issues of common concern to the Kitsap Cities and County for this legislative session;
now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON:
THAT: The 2002 Countywide Legislative Agenda developed by the Kitsap Regional
Coordinating Council is hereby endorsed and represents the official position of the City of Port Orchard.
The Washington State Legislature is urged to accomplish the above 2002 Countywide
Legislative Agenda during its 2002 legislative session.
The Mayor of Port Orchard maybe directed by the Port Orchard City Council to sign multi-
jurisdictional statements to this effect as part of materials prepared by the Kitsap Regional Coordinating
Council to petition the Washington State Legislature for the recommended actions.

Olympic College Poulsbo Campus Funding is currently secure.
