A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON
GIVING NOTICE OF INTENT TO ANNEX TERRITORY INTO THE CITY
OF PORT ORCHARD.
WHEREAS, on December 11, 2000 William Wiley, et al., submitted a Petition to Annex
approximately 11 .80 acres of property lying east of the easterly city limits bordered by Mile Hill Drive, Whittier
Avenue, Lovell Street, Wendell Avenue, Orlando Street and Palmer Avenue into the City of Port Orchard
legally described in Attachment A; and
WHEREAS, on January 8, 2001, the City Council did hold a public hearing to receive
testimony and consider the Petition to Annex, and
WHEREAS, subsequent to the Public Hearing the Port Orchard City Council did by
unanimous vote accept the Petition to Annex, now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON THAT:
SECTION 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to submit the required
Notice of Intent to the Kitsap County Boundary Review Board as set forth by RCW 36.93.
SECTION 2. Upon completion of the statutory 45-day review period and approval by the
Kitsap County Boundary Review Board, the City Clerk shall prepare a draft annexation ordinance for City
Council consideration.

That portion ofSE Mile Hill Drive county road and of the plat ofNavy Yard Addition to Sidney,
as recorded in Volume 1 of Plats, Page 87, records ofKitsap County, Washington, situate in the
Southwest quarter of Section 30, Township 24 North, Range 2 East W.M., and more particularly
described as follows:
Beginning at the Northwest comer of Block 5 of said plat, at the intersection of the East Right-
of-Way margin o.f Palmer Avenue SE with the South Right-of-Way margin of SE Horstman
Road; thence East along said South Right-of-Way margin 260 feet to the East Right-of-Way
margin of Wendell Avenue SE; thence South along said Right-of-Way margin 1020 feet to the
Southwest comer ofB1ock 7 of said plat, on the North Right-of-Way margin of SE Lovell Street; .
thence East along said North Right-of"Way margin 520feet to the Southwest comer of Block 9
of said plat, on the East Right-of-Way margin of Whittier Avenue SE; thence South along said
East Right-of-Way margin 264.38 feet to the Southwest corner of Block 12 of said plat, being
also a point on the South line of said Section 30; thence West along the South line of said
Section30, 780 feet to the Southwest comer of Block 15 of said plat, on the East Right-of-Way
margin of Palmer Avenue SE; thence North along said East Right-of-Way margin, 1294.74 feet
to the point of beginning.
Together with that portion of SE Mile Hill Drive county road, situate in the Northwest quarter of
Section 31, Township 24 North, Range 2 East W.M., lying South of, and abutting the above
described tract.
