A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON
REVISING ADMINISTRATIVE POLICY 100-002 (CATEGORIES OF
EMPLOYEES) TO RECLASSIFY THE POSITION OF CODE
ENFORCEMENT/ASSOCIATE PLANNER TO FLSA NON-UNION; NON-
EXEMPT CATEGORY
WHEREAS, the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) established criteria to determine
eligibility for exempt status, and
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the city to periodically review the duties and
responsibilities of all employment positions that are classified under a FLSA Exempt category, and
WHEREAS, the employment position of Code Enforcement/Associate Planner has been
reviewed and based upon the current job duties and level of responsibility it is determined that this
employment position should be reclassified from FLSA Professional Exempt to FLSA Non-Exempt, now,
therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON, HEREBY
RESOLVES THAT:
Administrative Policy 100-002 is revised to remove the employment position of Code
Enforcement/Associate Planner from the Professional ·(exempt) category and designate
this position as Non-Union (non-exempt)
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard, APPROVED by the Mayor and
attested by the Clerk in authentication of such passage this 27t~.~y o~h 2000.
