Gity of Port Orchard Shoreline Master Program Update Support
Project Schedule
Time extension for additional work through December 30,2020
Additional Work Tasks & Deliverables
Cascadia Consulting Group and Herrera Environmental will conduct additional work as requested
to support the City of Port Orchard's Shoreline Master Program update. The budget estimate for
these additional tasks include project and contract management responsibilities, including
communication with the City project manager, progress reports, invoicing, schedule, and budget
tracking.
Task 3. Presentation to Planning Commission (August/September)
Herrera will convert its draft sea level rise analysis document into a PowerPoint presentation and
present it at an online meeting of the Port Orchard Planning Commission, currently slated for
September L,2020. Two Herrera staff will attend the presentation to present findings and address
questions on the analysis. The presentation materials will be provided for the City's future use,
such as additional public meetings.
Assumptions
r Two Herrera staff will remotely attend the meeting.
o Presentation will be half-an-hour in length, with up to an additional hour for questions.
o No new analysis will be required for the presentation.
. The presentation can and will be provided to the City for public use following the meeting.
Deliverobles

Task 4. Presentation to City Council (September)
Herrera will use the PowerPoint version of the draft sea level rise analysis document developed in
Task 3 and also present it at an online session of the Port Orchard City Council, currently scheduled
for September 22,2020. Two Herrera staff will attend the presentation to present findings and
address questions on the analysis. The presentation materials will be provided for the City's future
use, such as additional public meetings.

Task 5. Additional Round of Reviews (september/October)
The original scope of work included a single round of review and revisions. Due to schedule
changes, mostly related to the COVID-19 pandemic, it is desired by the City to publicly distribute
an updated/revised version of prior to incorporating comments from Ecology, which may be
required as a term in the grant. Ecology will provide its comments following this public posting, but
the timing is uncertain. The consultant will incorporate Ecology comments and recommendations
into the previously revised document before finalizing the document.
Assumptions
o One round of revisions regarding Ecology's comments will be provided to Herrera following
submittal of a revised draft sea level rise analysis document. This round may also include
revisions following the Planning Commission and City Council briefings.
. Ecology and City staff will have an opportunity to review changes being made to the
documents, but that review will be limited to the changed portions of the document and a
final version will be prepared based upon that final review.

comments.

Task 6 - Review of City Code Changes (October/November)
Following the City Council briefing in September, the City will prepare a proposed response,
including recommended code revisions by October L5,2O2O. The consultant will review the City's
proposed code changes for consistency with the best available science document produced in an
earlier task. Recommendations for modifications will be made through a single written
correspondence within two weeks of receipt of the proposed changes.
