1839 - Resolution - Rescinding Resolution No. 1829 Affirmative ActionRESOLUTION NO. 1839 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 1829 WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 1829 at their September 28, 1998 meeting, and WHEREAS, RCW 42.17.130 allows an elected official or the elected collective body to support or opposition to a ballot measure if (1) the action is taken by the body at an open public meeting and meets the requirements of notice and affording the opposition equal opportunity for expression; or (2) if a statement by an elected official is either at an open press conference or in response to a specific inquiry. WHEREAS, a public input forum was not provided concerning Initiative 1-200; now therefore, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON DOES HEREBY RESOLVE THAT: Resolution No. 1829 is hereby rescinded. PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard, SIGNED by the Mayor and attested by the Clerk in authentication of such passage this 28th day of September 1998. ESLIE J.
