A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE USE OF CREDIT CARDS IN
THE MUNICIPAL COURT.
WHEREAS, the Municipal Court of the City of Port Orchard is required to collect fines;
and
WHEREAS, many people use the convenience of credit and debit cards in lieu of cash or
checks, now 'therefore,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS;
1. The Mayor of the City of port Orchard is authorized to sign the contract between
Kitsap Bank and the City of Port Orchrd to establish a Bankcard Merchant
Agreement.
2. The Municipal Court is authorized to implement bankcard services, as described
in the Bankcard Merchant Agreement.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard, APPROVED by the
Mayor and attested by the Clerk in authentication of such passage this 8th day of
September, 1997.
