1626 - Resolution - Terms for Planning CommissionersRESOLUTION NO. 1626 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON REESTABLISHING TERMS FOR PLANNING COMMISSION MEMBERS AS DESIGNATED BY RCW 35.63 AND REAPPOINTING CURRENT PLANNING COMMISSIONERS TO FILL SUCH TERMS WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Port Orchard has established a Planning Commission pursuant to RCW Chapter 35.63, and WHEREAS, RCW Chapter 35.63 designates the term of a Planning Commissioner shall be six years, and WHEREAS, RCW Chapter 35.63 stipulates the terms for Planning Commissioners shall be set in such a manner as to provide that the fewest possible terms will expire in any one year, and WHEREAS, when Planning Commission terms were first established they were not set to provide for the fewest possible terms to expire in any one year, and WHEREAS, the City Council does desire to re-establish Planning Commission terms to provide for the fewest possible terms to expire in any one year. NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Port Orchard does here by redesignate Planning Commission terms as follows; and The Mayor of the City of Port Orchard does by the power vested by POMC 2.20.010 hereby reappoint with Council concurrence the following current Planning Commissioners to fill the redesignated Planning Commission terms: Position 1 expire 12/31/93 * Doug Eide $Temporary continuations Position 2 expire 12/31/93 * Ken Davis as per Resolution No. 1624 Position 3 expire 12/31/94 John Hokanson Position 4 expire 12/31/95 Bek Tyson Position 5 expire 12/31/96 Howard Minor Position 6 expire 12/31/97 Wayne Ablitt Position 7 expire 12/31/98 Rick Wyatt Position 8 expire 12/31/98 Bernie Angel PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard, APPROVED by the mayor and attested by the Cleric in auth tication of such passage this 11th day of January, 1993.
