1630 - Resolution - Municipal CourtRESOLUTION NO. 1630 ,/ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON, DESIGNATING DAYS UPON WHICH THE MUNICIPAL COURT SHALL BE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Port Orchard has created a Municipal Court pursuant to RCW Chapter 3.50; and WHEREAS, RCW Chapter 3.50.110 empowers the City Council of the City of Port Orchard to designate the days upon which the Municipal Court shall be open; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to promote more efficient disposition of required municipal court data processing and other work, and to reduce the necessity for overtime work by employees of the Municipal Court. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Port Orchard does resolve: Section 1. The Municipal Court shall, commencing April 5, 1993, be open to the public four (4) days each week. Said days shall be Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, provided, the Municipal Court shall not be open on nonjudicial days. Section 2. The Municipal Court may, in the sole discretion of the Municipal Judge, be open on selected Thursdays for special sessions. Section 3. Court employees occupying positions which are deemed to be full-time positions shall continue to work a regular five-day work week, including those Thursdays when the court is not open.
