A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING DEVELOPMENT OF A
SPECIFIC PLAN, ESTABLISHING DESIGN AND
DEVELOPMENT GUIDELINES FOR COMMERCIAL AND
MULTI -FAMILY DEVELOPMENT ALONG TREMONT
STREET.
Whereas, the City Council finds that commercial and
multi -family developments are proper land uses on Tremont Street,
if controlled by design and development guidelines.

NOW, THEREFORE, The City Council of the City of port
Orchard finds that commercial and multi -family land uses,
although not expressly permitted by the comprehensive plan,
should be permitted within the Tremont Street corridor,
providing:
1. Site ingress and egress is limited to side streets of
signalized street intersections.
2. Design guidelines are created to promote and retain a
residential atmosphere and aesthetically pleasing City
entryway.
3. Development guidelines are created to mitigate the
negative effects of commercial and multi -family
projects on existing and future residential land uses.
cJ 4. A Tremont Street Specific Plan is formed, identifying
design, development, and locational guidelines for
