A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT
ORCHARD, WASHINGTON, ESTABLISHING
REGULATIONS RELATED TO PARKING.,
STOPPING OR STANDING IN CERTAIN
AREAS OF THE CITY.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD
AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, R.C.W. 46.90.270 as adopted by
Ordinance No. 1152 authorizes the City to adopt
regulations to prohibit, regulate or limit stopping,
standing or parking of vehicles in the City by
Resolution, and
WHEREAS, The City of Port Orchard desires to
establish Bach regulations by Resolution.
THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Parking prohibited at all
times. When the signs are erected by City Engineer
giving notice thereof, no person shall park a vehicle at
any time upon any of the streets or parts of streets as
described as follows:
a) Mitchell Road, on both sides, from Bay
Street to a point two hundred and fifty
feet north of Kitsap Street;
b) Rockwell Avenue, on both sides, from Bay
Street to Morton Street;
c) Rockwell Avenue, on the west side, from
Morton Street to Kitsap Street;
d) Cline Avenue from the northeast corner
of Kitsap Street and Cline Avenue,
northerly along the east line of Cline
Avenue to its intersection with Bay
Street then continue along the east line
of Bay Street to the south side of Bank
Street.
e) Bay Street, on both sides, from the
traffic signal on SR 160 (Bay/Maple
Street) for a distance of two hundred
feet northeast of Guy Wetzel Street.
f) Sweany Street, on the north side, from
Cline Avenue inters.ection westerly for a
distance of three hundred forty feet.
g) Bay Street at the intersection with
Wharf Street, (Mitchell Point) along the
outside radius of the existing road as
delineated by the established guardrail.

h) Sweany Street, on the south side, from
Sidney Avenue westerly for a distance of
two hundred feet.
i) DeKalb Street, on the.south side, from
Sidney Avenue westerly for a distance of
one hundred feet.
j) DeKalb Street, on the north side, from
Tracy Avenue easterly to the end of
DeKalb.
k) DeKalb Street, on the south side, from
Mitchell Avenue to the east side of Tracy
Avenue.
1) Farragut Avenue, on both sides, from
DeKalb Street to Morton Street.
m) Mitchell Road, on the west side, from
Kitsap Street to DeKalb Street.
SECTION 2. Parking prohibited during certain,
hours. When signs are erected by City Engineer in each
block giving notice thereof, no person shall park a
vehicle between the hours specified in this section on any
day except Saturday, Sunday and federal holidays upon any
of the streets or parts of streets described below:
a) Bay Street from Bank Street to Harrison
Street, from three a.m. to five a.m.;
b) Sidney Avenue from Prospect Street north
to parking lot, from three a.m. to five
a.m.;
c) Frederick Avenue from Prospect Street
north to parking lot, from three a.m. to
five a.m.;
d) Fredrick Avenue from Bay Street north to
the waterfront parking area on Wednesdays
from five a.m. to eleven -thirty a.m. and
Saturdays from five a..m. to one p.m.,
from April 1st through October 31st;
SECTION 3. Stopping, standing or parking
prohibited during certain hours. When signs are erected
by the City Engineer in each block giving notice thereof,
no person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle between the
hours specified in this section of any day, or upon any of
the streets or parts of streets described as follows:
a) All accessways in public parking lots at
any time;
b) At all times during hazardous snow and
ice conditions; Kitsap Street from Cline
Avenue to Seattle Avenue on both sides of
street; Seattle Avenue from Kitsap
Street to Dwight Street; and Dwight
Street from Seattle to Harrison Avenue on
both sides of street.

SECTION 4. Parking time limited on certain
City narking lots.
(a) City parking lots shall consist of five
areas which are designated for clarification purposes as
follows:
1) Lot 1, between Orchard Avenue and
Frederick Avenue;
2) Lot 2, between Fredrick Avenue and
Sidney Avenue;
3) Lot 3, all parking spaces on library
property;
4) Lot 4, all parking areas under City
jurisdiction which lies east of the
east library property line;
5) Lot 5, all parking spaces on City Hall
property.
(b) Parking in Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 shall
be subject to restrictions and/or fees as approved by
Council resolution.
SECTION 5. Parking time limited on certain
streets. When signs are erected by the City Engineer in
each block giving notice thereof, no person shall park a
vehicle for longer than the time specified in this
section, on the days specified in this section, upon any
of the streets described as follows:
a) Prospect Street, on both sides, from
Sidney Avenue to Kitsap Street. There
will be four hour parking from eight A.M.
to five P.M., on any day except Saturday,
Sunday and federal holidays.
b) Kitsap Street, on both sides, from Cline
Avenue to Rockwell Avenue. There will be
four hour parking from eight A.M. to five
P.M., on any day except Saturday, Sunday
and federal holidays. EXCEPT for a
space on the north side of Kitsap Street
beginning one hundred forty five feet
east of Sidney Avenue continuing easterly
two hundred forty feet. The two hundred
forty feet as described shall be
designated all day parking.

c) Bank Street, on the north side, from
Prospect Street to Bay Street. There
will be four hour parking from eight A.M.
to five P.M., on any day except Saturday,
Sunday and federal holidays.
d) Cline Avenue, on both sides, from Kitsap
Street to Dwight Street. There will be
four hour parking from eight A.M. to five
P.M., on any day except Saturday, Sunday
and federal holidays.
e) DeKalb Street, on both sides, from Cline
Avenue easterly for a distance of two
hundred feet. There will be four hour
parking from eight A.M. to five P.M., on
any day except Saturday, Sunday and
federal holidays.
f) DeKalb Street, on both sides, from
Seattle Avenue to Sidney Avenue. There
will be four hour parking from eight A.M.
to five P.M., on any day except Saturday,
Sunday and federal holidays. EXCEPT for
a space on the south side of DeKalb
Street beginning one hundred five feet
east of Harrison Avenue and continuing
easterly for one hundred seventy five
feet. The one hundred seventy five feet
as described shall be designated all day
parking.
g) DeKalb Street, on the north side, from
Sidney Avenue westerly for a.distance of
one hundred feet. There will be four
hour parking from eight A.M. to five
P.M., on any day except Saturday, Sunday
and federal holidays.
h) Sidney Avenue, on both sides, from
Prospect Street to Dwight Street. There
will be four hour parking from eight A.M.
to five P.M., on any day except Saturday,
Sunday and federal holidays.
i) Seattle Avenue, on both sides, from
Kitsap Street to DeKalb Street. There
will be four hour parking from eight A.M.
to five P.M., on any day except Saturday,
Sunday and federal holidays.
j) Morton Street, on both sides,'from
Rockwell Avenue westerly for a distance
of two hundred feet on both sides. There
will be four hour parking from eight A.M.
to five P.M., on any day except Saturday,
Sunday and federal holidays.
k) Austin Avenue, on both sides, from
Division Street to Dwight Street. There
will be two hour parking from eight A.M.
to five P.M., on any day except Saturday,
Sunday and federal holidays.

1) Sidney Avenue, on both sides, from Taylor
Street to Dwight Street. There will be
two hour parking from eight A.M. to five
P.M., on any day except Saturday, Sunday
and federal holidays.
m) Cline Avenue, on both sides., from Taylor
Street to Division Street. There will be
two hour parking from eight A.M. to five
P.M., on any day except Saturday, Sunday
and federal holidays.
n) Division Street, on both sides, from
Cline Avenue to Harrison Avenue. There
will be two hour parking from eight A.M.
to five P.M., on any day except Saturday,
Sunday and federal holidays.
o) Sweany Street, on the south side, from
Cline Avenue westerly for a distance of
three hundred feet. There will be two
hour parking from eight A.M. to five.
P.M., on any day except Saturday, Sunday
and federal holidays.
p) Sweany Street, on the north side, from
Sidney Avenue westerly for a distance of
two hundred feet. There will be two hour
parking from eight A.M. to five P.M., on
any day except Saturday, Sunday and
federal holidays.
q) Tracy Avenue, on both sides, from DeKalb
Street to Morton Street. There will be
two hour parking from eight A.M. to five
P.M., on any day except Saturday, Sunday

and federal holidays.
r) Mitchell Road, on the west side, from
Kitsap Street northerly for a distance of
two hundred fifty feet. There will be
two hour parking from eight A.M. to five
P.M., on any day except Saturday,.Sunday
and federal holidays.
s) Mitchell Road, on the east side, from
DeKalb Street northerly for a distance of
three hundred fifty feet. There will be
two hour parking from eight A.M. to five
P.M., on any day except Saturday, Sunday
and federal holidays.
t) Mitchell Road, on the west side, from
Dwight Street to Plisko Lane. There will
be two hour parking from eight A.M. to
five P.M., on any day except Saturday,
Sunday and federal holidays.

u) Mitchell Road, on the east side, from
DeKalb Street southerly, to the bus
loading access road, shall be designated
all day parking, EXCEPT for the revetment
area which is two hour parking from eight
A.M. to five P.M., on any day except
Saturday, Sunday and federal holidays.
v) DeKalb Street, on the south side, from
Tracy Avenue easterly to the end of
DeKalb Street. There will be two hour
parking from eight A.M. to five P.M., on
any day except Saturday, Sunday and
federal holidays.
'w) Kitsap Street, on both sides, from
Mitchell Avenue, westerly for a distance
of one hundred seventy-five feet. There
will be two hour parking from eight A.M.
to five P.M., on any day except Saturday,
Sunday and federal holidays.
x) DeKalb Street, on both.sides, from
Mitchell Road westerly for a distance of
four hundred and seventy-five feet.
There will be two hour parking from eight
A.M. to five P.M., on any day except
Saturday, Sunday and federal holidays.
y) Dwight Street, on b.oth sides, from
Mitchell Road westerly for a distance of
two hundred and fifty feet. There will
be two hour parking from eight A.M. to
five P.M., on any day except Saturday,
Sunday and federal holidays.
z) Seattle Avenue, on the east side, from
Bay Street southerly for a distance of
fifty feet. There will be two hour
parking from eight A.M. to five P.M., on
any day except Saturday, Sunday and
federal holidays.
aa) Sidney Avenue, on the east side, from Bay
Street to Prospect Street. There will be
two hour parking from eight A.M. to five
P.M., on any day except Saturday, Sunday
and federal holidays.
bb) Fredrick Avenue, on both sides, from Bay
Street to Prospect Street. There will be
two hour parking from eight A.M. to five
P.M., on any day except Saturday, Sunday
and federal holidays.

cc) Bay Street, on both sides, from Orchard
Avenue to Harrison Avenue. There will be
two hour parking from eight A.M. to five
P.M. on any day except, Sunday and
federal holidays.
dd) DeKalb Street, on the north side, from
Mitchell Road to Tracy Avenue. There
will be two hour parking from eight A.M.
to five P.M., on any day except,
Saturday, Sunday and federal holidays.
ee) Sidney Avenue on both sides of Bay Street
to the waterfront. There will be two
hour parking from eight A.M. to five
P.M., on any day except, Saturday, Sunday
and federal holidays.
ff) North side of driveway adjacent to south
side of library shall be two hour parking
from eight A.M. to five P.M. on any day
except, Saturday, Sunday and federal
holidays.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of
Port Orchard, APPROVED by the Mayor and attested by the
Clerk in authentication of such passage this 24th day of
