ORCHARD, WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE
CALLING OF A SPECIAL ELECTION OF THE
QUALIFIED ELECTORS OF THE CITY OF
PORT ORCHARD FOR NOVEMBER 3, 1987, TO
LEVY A ONE YEAR TAX ESTIMATED AT
$1.79 PER THOUSAND OF ASSESSED
VALUATION FOR THE PURPOSE OF
CONSTRUCTION OF AN ADDITION TO THE
FACILITIES OF FIRE STATION NO. 2 IN
PORT ORCHARD AND THE. PURCHASE OF A
RESCUE VEHICLE
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Port Orchard
finds that it is necessary to levy a tax estimated at $1.79
per thousand of assessed valuation for the year 1988 in
addition to the City's regular general purpose $3.375 per
thousand of assessed valuation allowed by law, for the
purpose of construction of an addition to the facilities of
Fire Station No. 2 in Port Orchard and the purchase of a
rescue vehicle.
NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby resolved by the
Council of the City of Port Orchard as follows:
Sectional. That there,be submitted to the
qualified electors of the City of Port Orchard, at the
General Election to be held November 3, 1987, in all
precincts within the City the proposition whether the City
Council shall be authorized to levy a tax estimated at $1.79
per thousand of assessed valuation for the year 1988 in the
maximum amount of'$250,000.00, in addition to the City's
regular general purpose $3.375 per thousand of assessed
valuation allowed by law, in an amount sufficient to raise
funds for the year 1988 for the purpose of construction of an
addition to the facilities of Fire Station No. 2 in Port
Orchard and the purchase of a rescue vehicle.
Section 2. That the Clerk of the City of Port
Orchard be and she hereby is authorized to certify to the
Kitsap County Auditor the propositions.to be voted on by the
electors at said election:

Shall the City Council of the City of Port
Orchard be authorized to levy an additional tax estimated at
$1.79 per thousand of assessed valuation for the Year 1988 in
the maximum amount of $250,000.00, for the purpose of
construction of an addition to the facilities of Fire Station
No. 2 in Port Orchard and the purchase of a rescue vehicle.

Section 3. That the said City Council hereby
requests the.Kitsap County Auditor to give the Notice of
Special Election and to supervise the details thereof; that
this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after its
passage and publication according to law.
