A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD
WASHINGTON; FIXING THE DATE OF PUBLIC
HEARING ON A PETITION FOR A VACATION OF
A PORTION OF MORTON STREET
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Port Orchard, Washington, as follows:
THAT a Public Hearing on the petition for vacation
of a portion of Morton Street further described as follows,
is hereby fixed for Monday, June 27, 1983, at 8:00 P'.M.
in the City.Council Chamber, City Hall, 216 Prospect Street,
Port Orchard, Washington.
LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Commencing in Section 25,
Township 24 North, Range 1 East, from the
Southwest corner of Government Lot 2, proceed
easterly along the Southern line of Government
Lot 2 380 feet, to the true point of beginning;
thence N. 28°47'40" E 30 feet; thence S 88°42'42" E
111.62 feet,.thence S 28°47'40" W 30 feet;
thence N 88°42'42" W 111.62 feet to the true
point of beginning.
The petitioner is the owner of an interest in real
estate abutting on the above described area.
The petitioner constitutes more than two-thirds of
the owners of said portions of abutting property.
WHEREFORE, petitioner prays that proceedings be had
hereon for the vacation of said area of said street in the
manner prescribed by RCW 35.79.
PASSED by the City Council and APPROVED by the
Mayor this 23rd day of May, 1983.
