AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON
AMENDING ORDINACE NO. 1719 TO CORRECT A SCRIVENER'S
ERROR AND ADJUST THE COMPLETION DATE FOR THE
PRELIMINARY PLAT OF ROCKPORT SUBDIVISION. PROPERTY
LOCATED APPROXIMATELY IN THE 900-1000 BLOCK OF OLNEY
AVENUE (WEST SIDE).

WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Port Orchard did hold a Public Hearing on June 12,
1995, and following the Public Hearing did adopt Ordinance No. 1635 with 33 conditions, approving
Preliminary Plat of Rockport Subdivision, and
WHEREAS, the City Council did approve an amendment to Ordinance No. 1635
authorizing an addition of conditions No. 34 and 35 by adoption of Ordinance No. 1738, and
WHEREAS, Chapter 24 of Ordinance No. 1702, the City's Subdivision Ordinance does
provide for authority for the City Council to approve a one year extension for a preliminary plat upon the
owner/developer showing that they have attempted in good faith to complete the requirements of the final
plat within the required three year period, and
WHEREAS, the City Council did authorize a one year extension for the Preliminary Plat
of Rockport Subdivision on April 13, 1998 by adoption of Ordinance No. 1719, and
WHEREAS, due to a scrivener's error in Ordinance No. W19 the date for the expiration
of the one year extension was stated incorrectly, and it is the desire of the City Council to correct this error
to allow a full one year extension of the Preliminary Plat of Rockport, now therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON, DOES
HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

That Ordinance No. 1719 be amended to read as follows:
That an extension of one year be granted to the Preliminary Plat of Rockport
Subdivision, to allow compliance with the 35 conditions as granted in Ordinance
No. 1738. Expiration date June 26, 1999.
