ORDINANCE
The following is a summary of an Ordinance approved by the Port Orchard City Council at their
regular Council meeting held December 13, 1999.
ORDINANCE NO. 1783
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON, ADOPTING THE BUDGET FOR THE YEAR 2000
AND LEVYING A TAX SUFFICIENT TO RAISE $673,000 FOR
CURRENT EXPENSE PURPOSES AND $552,800 FOR STREET
PURPOSES.
Copies of Ordinance No. 1783 are available for review at the office of the City
Clerk of the City of Port Orchard. Upon written request a statement of the full text
of the Ordinance will be mailed to any interested person without charge. Thirty
days after publication, copies of Ordinance No. 1783 will be provided at a nominal
charge.

ORDINANCE NO. 1783
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON ADOPTING THE BUDGET FOR THE YEAR
2000 AND LEVYING A TAX SUFFICIENT TO RAISE
$673,000 FOR CURRENT EXPENSE PURPOSES AND
$552,800 FOR STREET PURPOSES.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON,
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the proposed budget of the City of Port Orchard for the year
2000, as prepared, be and the same is hereby adopted in its entirety.
Section 2 That there be and hereby is levied against all of the real estate
and personal property within the corporate limits of the City of Port Orchard, not exempt from
taxation, a tax sufficient to raise a total of $1,225,800.
Section 3. That there be levied a tax sufficient to raise $673,000 for Current
Expense purposes and $552,800 for Street purposes.
Section 4. That the total budget of the City of Port Orchard for the year 2000
shall be as recapitulated below:
