AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON ADOPTING EMERGENCY AMENDMENTS TO
THE TRANSPORTATION ELEMENT OF THE
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN.
WHEREAS, the City of Port Orchard seeks to be in compliance with the goals, policies,
and procedures of the Growth Management Act, and
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted a new Comprehensive Plan on the 12th of June
1995, and
WHEREAS, the City Council also seeks to have the Comprehensive Plan certified by
the Puget Sound Regional Council, and
WHEREAS, the Puget Sound Regional Council determined that a reassessment
strategy and new policies were needed within the Transportation Element in order for it to be
certified, and
WHEREAS, the City Council did hold a public hearing on May 12, 1997 to take
testimony, review materials and consider all information presented regarding the emergency
amendments to the Transportation Element, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON, DOES
HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS
THAT: The Council of the City of Port Orchard does hereby adopt emergency
amendments to the Transportation Element of the Comprehensive Plan in order to meet the
certification requirements of the Puget Sound Regional Council.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard, signed by the Mayor and
attested by the Clerk in authentication of such passage this 2277th day of May, 1997.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON
ADOPTING EMERGENCY AMENDEMENTS TO THE TRANSPORTATION
ELEMENT OF THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN.
Copies of Ordinance No. 1681 are available for review at the office of the City
Clerk of the City of Port Orchard. Upon written request a statement of the full text
of the Ordinance will be mailed to any interested person without charge. Thirty
days after publication, copies of Ordinance No. 1681 will be provided at a nominal
charge.
