1590 - Ordinance - Regulating Activites on City Owned Piers and DocksNOTICE OF CITY OF PORT ORCHARD ORDINANCE The following is a summary of an Ordinance approved by the Port Orchard City Council at their regular Council meeting held September 13, 1993. ORDINANCE NO. 1590 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON, REGULATING ACTIVITIES ON CITYOWNED PIERS AND DOCKS AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO, 1463. Copies of Ordinance No. 1590 are available for review at the office of the City Clerk of the City of Port Orchard. Upon written request a statement of the full text of the Ordinance will be mailed to any interested person without charge. Thirty days after publication, copies of Ordinance No. 1590 will be provided at a nominal charge. City of Port Orchard ��Q, Michelle Hager Deputy Clerk Publish: Port Orchard Independent September 22, 1993 ORDINANCE NO. 1590 '3(�7 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON �X REGULATING ACTIVITIES ON CITY OWNED PIERS AND DOCKS, AND REPEALING ORDINANCE 1463. t, WHEREAS, the City of Port Orchard has constructed piers, docks and ramps for public access to the water; and WHEREAS, the purpose of these improvements is to enhance the recreational use of Sinclair Inlet; and WHEREAS, the improvements are not illuminated for night use. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Port Orchard does hereby ordain: SECTION 1. There shall be no commercial activity on the De Kalb Street Pedestrian Pier or the Water Street Boat Launch. Commercial activity is defined as loading or unloading cargo from commercial fishing boats, repair of commercial watercraft and repairing, maintaining or drying of fishing nets. SECTION 2. There shall be no moorage at the DeKalb Street Pedestrian Pier between the hours of 11:00 PM and 6:00 AM. SECTION 3. Moorage at the Water Street Boat Launch shall be limited to 15 minutes. SECTION 4. Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall, upon conviction thereof, be guilty of a misdemeanor and be punished by a fine in any sum not exceeding one hundred dollars. SECTION 5. This ordinance hereby repeals Ordinance 1463.
