1558 - Ordinance - Adopting Existing County Subarea-Vince StreetNOTICE OF CITY OF PORT ORCHARD ORDINANCE The following is a summary of an Ordinance approved by the Port Orchard City Council at their regular Council meeting held July 27, 1992. ORDINANCE NO. 1558 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON, AMENDING PORT ORCHARD COMPREHENSIVE PLAN ORDINANCE NO. 895; BY ADOPTING THE EXISTING COUNTY SUBAREA DESIGNATIONS WITHIN THE AREA KNOWN AS THE VINE STREET ANNEXATION AREA. Copies of Ordinance No. 1558 are available for review at the office of the City Clerk of the City of Port Orchard. Upon written request a statement of the full text of the Ordinance will be mailed to any interested person without charge. Thirty days after publication, copies of Ordinance No. 1558 will be provided at a nominal charge. City of ort Orchard Patricia Hower City Clerk Publish: Port Orchard Independent August 5, 1992 ORDINANCE NO. 1558 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON AMENDING CITY OF PORT ORCHARD COMPREHENSIVE PLAN ORDINANCE NO. 895; BY ADOPTING THE EXISTING COUNTY SUBAREA DESIGNATIONS WITHIN THE AREA KNOWN AS THE VINE STREET ANNEXATION AREA. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON, DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: WHEREAS, City of Port Orchard, owner of record, has initiated a comprehensive plan ordinance amendment requesting redesignation of property described in said petition, and all legal requirements have been performed; and WHEREAS, the City of Port Orchard Planning Commission has transmitted to the Council of the City of Port Orchard their findings and recommendations, Planning Commission Resolution No. 180-92 - ATTACHMENT "A". NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, that the City Council of the City of Port Orchard does hereby adopt the findings and recommendations of the Port Orchard Planning Commission as it's own and does hereby adopt the existing county subarea designations within the area known as the Vine Street Annexation area. LEGAL DESCRIPTION - Portions of Section 25 and 36, Township. 24N, ROIE, WM and Section 30 and Section 31, Township 24N, R01E, WM in Kitsap County, Washington. WHEREAS, The planning commission has reviewed and studied the current land uses, zoning, and county subarea designations within the Vine Street annexation area, and WHEREAS, development of a new comprehensive plan is currently in progress to examine future land uses in the annexation area, and WHERAS, adoption of county subarea designations should be used in the interim until completion of a new comprehensive plan, and WHEREAS, a nonproject SEPA checklist has been prepared and received a declaration of nonsignificance. WE THEREFORE FIND: that the adoption of Kitsap County subarea designations in the Vine Street annexation area will not have a detrimental effect upon existing properties or surrounding land uses. CONCLUSION, based upon the facts and materials presented at the public hearing, we therefore conclude it is in the best interest of the city to adopt current subarea designations, until a new city-wide comprehensive plan is completed. BE IT RESOLVED:, that the City of Port Orchard Planning Commission hereby respectfully requests the City Council adopt current county subarea designations within the area known as the Vine Street annexation.
