Ordinance No. 1558
Attachment "A"
A RESOLUTION BY THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD PLANNING COMMISSION
RECOMMENDING THE CITY COUNCIL ADOPT THE EXISTING COUNTY SUBAREA
DESIGNATIONS WITHIN THE AREA KNOWN AS THE VINE STREET ANNEXATION
AREA.
WHEREAS, The planning commission has reviewed and studied the
current land uses, zoning, and county subarea designations within
the Vine Street annexation area, and
WHEREAS, development of a new comprehensive plan is currently
in progress to examine future land uses in the annexation area, and
WHERAS, adoption of county subarea designations should be used
in the interim until completion of a new comprehensive plan, and
WHEREAS, a nonproject SEPA checklist has been prepared and
received a declaration of nonsignificance.
WE THEREFORE FIND: that the adoption of Kitsap County subarea
designations in the Vine Street annexation area will not have a
detrimental effect upon existing properties or surrounding land
uses.
CONCLUSION, based upon the facts and materials presented at
the public hearing, we therefore conclude it is in the best
interest of the city to adopt current subarea designations, until
a new city-wide comprehensive plan is completed.
BE IT RESOLVED:, that the City of Port Orchard Planning
Commission hereby respectfully requests the City Council adopt
current county subarea designations within the area known as the
Vine Street annexation.
