AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON AMENDING CITY OF PORT
ORCHARD COMPREHEN'S'VE PLAN ORDINANCE NO.895; BY
AMENDING THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN MAP DESIGNATION
OF CERTAIN PROPERTIES THEREIN
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON,
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, Chuck Childress, agent, has initiated a comprehensive plan
ordinance amendment requesting redesignation of property described in said
petition, and all legal requirements have been performed; and
WHEREAS, the City of Pcrt Orchard Planning Commission has
transmitted to the Council of the City of Port Orchard their findings and
recommendations, Planning Commission Resolution No. 186-92 - ATTACHMENT

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, that the City Council of the City
of Port Orchard does hereby adopt the`irdings and recommendations of the
Port Orchard Planning Commission as it's own and does hereby redesignate
certain property on the Comprehensive Plan Map designation from Residential
Low to Residential High.

PLANNING
RESOLUTION
NO. 186-92
A RESOLUTION BY THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD PLANNING COMMISSION
RECOMMENDING THE CITY COUNCIL APPROVE A RECLASSIFICATION IN
THE COMPREHENSIVE LAND USE PLAN FROM RESIDENTIAL LOW TO
RESIDENTIAL HIGH.
LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Exhibit A
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on Monday, 3 August 1992
and the Planning Commission considered the findings and facts of
the proposal, testimony and materials presented at the hearing; and
WHEREAS, a SEPA checklist for the Pottery Heights subdivision
as been submitted and received a Mitigated Declaration of
Nonsignificance which requires school impact fees when the City
adopts the necessary ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the proposed land use designation of Residential High
is in harmony and is consistent with the designation of the
adjacent properties;
WE THEREFORE FIND: that the proposed land use reclassification
to Residential High is compatible with surrounding land uses and
will not have a detrimental effect on adjacent properties.
CONCLUSION, based on the facts, testimony, and materials
presented at the hearing, we therefore conclude that the amendment
of the Comprehensive Land Use Plan designation Residential Low to
Residential High is in harmony with the general purposes of the
zoning ordinance and surrounding comprehensive plan designations.
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Planning Commission of the City of
Port Orchard hereby respectfully requests that the City Council
approve a change in the designation of Residential High for the
above described property.

Port Orchard City Council at their regular Council meeting
held September 14, 1992.
ORDINANCE NO. 1559
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON, AMENDING PORT ORCHARD COMPREHENSIVE
PLAN ORDINANCE NO. 895; BY AMENDING THE
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN MAP DESIGNATION OF CERTAIN
PROPERTIES THEREIN. (Property located in the
vicinity of Lippert Drive and Highway 16, Chuck
Childress, agent.)

office of the City Clerk of the City of Port Orchard. Upon
written request a statement of the full text of the Ordinance
