AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON AMENDING ORDINANCE 1469, CHAPTER 17
RELATING TO PARKING AND CIRCULATION
REQUIREMENTS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON,
DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS.
SECTION 1: THAT Ordinance No. 1469, Chapter 17, Section A,
Size and Access is amended to read as follows:
Up to 20% of parking requirements may be sized for compact
cars. The minimum size of compact stalls shall be 8' X 16'
feet. The balance of the required number of stalls'shall not
be less than 9' X 20' feet, measured at a 90 degree angle.
Minimum traffic aisle width for two way circulation shall be
twenty-four (24) feet. Minimum traffic aisle width for one
(1) way circulation shall be twelve (12) feet. If required
parking space for a one or two-family dwelling is not
provided in a covered garage, then such space shall not be
less than 400 square feet per dwelling unit and shall be so
located and/or constructed that it may later be covered by a
garage structure in accordance with the provisions of this
Ordinance and the City Building Code.
Section 2. THAT Ordinance 1469, Chapter 17 is amended to
include the following:
Lots must adjoin Non -Residential Districts. Such parking lot
shall abut at least one hundred (100) feet either directly or
across an alley or street, upon a business or manufacturing
district.
