1479 - Ordinance - Increase and/or Decrease Speed LimitsORDINANCE NO. 1479 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON AMENDING ORDINANCE NO 1152 SEC 9 & 10 AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO INCREASE AND/OR DECREASE THE SPEED LIMIT ON A CITY STREET AND/OR INTERSECTION BY RESOLUTION. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON, DOES HEREBY ORDAIN: SECTION 1: Ordinance No 1152, Section 9 is hereby amended to read as follows: It is hereby determined that on the basis of an engineering and traffic investigation pursuant to RCW 46.61.415, the speed permitted by state law on city streets and intersections may be decreased as described by Council Resolution. Such decrease will be effective upon posting of appropriate signs. SECTION 2: Ordinance No 1152, Section 10 is hereby amended to read as follows: It is hereby determined that on the basis of an engineering and traffic investigation pursuant to RCW 46.61.415, the speed permitted by state law on city streets and intersections may be increased as described by Council Resolution. Such increase will be effective upon posting of appropriate signs.
