AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT
ORCHARD AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1292,
SECTION 1; ORDINANCE NO. 1242,
SECTION 1 AND ORDINANCE NO. 1125,
SECTION 2(I)(C) CODIFIED AS PORT
ORCHARD MUNICIPAL CODE SECTION
9.02.040 TO PROVIDE CERTAIN PENALTIES
FOR MISDEMEANOR AND GROSS MISDEMEANOR
VIOLATIONS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON, DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 1292, Section 1;
Ordinance No. 1242, Section 1 and Ordinance No. 1125, Section
2(I)(C) are hereby amended to read as follows:
Except as otherwise specifically provided in this
title, any person who commits, attempts to commit, conspires
to commit or aids or abets or is an accomplice in, or who
falsely, fraudulently or otherwise causes, coerces, requires
or directs others to commit acts declared by this title to be
a misdemeanor shall upon conviction be punished by a fine not
to exceed one thousand dollars or imprisonment not to exceed
ninety days or by both such fine and imprisonment.
Further, except as otherwise specifically
provided in this title, any person who commits, attempts to
commit, conspires to commit or aids or abets or is an
accomplice in, or who falsely, fraudulently or otherwise
causes, coerces, requires or directs others to commit acts
declared by this title to be a gross misdemeanor shall upon
conviction be punished by a fine not to exceed five thousand
dollars or imprisonment not to exceed one year or by both
such fine and imprisonment.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port
Orchard, APPROVED by the Mayor and attested by the Clerk in
authentication of such passage this 14th day of September,
1987.
