AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT
ORCHARD, WASHINGTON, RELATING TO AND
PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION OF
TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF PORT
ORCHARD.
WHEREAS, W.E. Lumsden; Chuck Childress, et al,
owners of the real property hereinafter described, according
to the assessed valuation per general taxation, has
petitioned the Council of the City of Port Orchard that said
territory be annexed to and become a part of the City of Port
Orchard; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of Review, as required by law,
has been convened and has made the determination that it is
in favor of the annexation of the area hereinafter described;
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council did fix Monday,
December 14, 1987 at the hour at 8:00 p.m., for the Public
Hearing on said petition and the Clerk of the City of Port
Orchard did give notice of said hearing in the manner
provided by law; and
WHEREAS, the City Council at their regularly
scheduled meeting on the 14th day of December, 1987 did hold
a hearing on said petition and unanimously approved the same;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT
ORCHARD, DOES ORDAIN, as follows:
SECTION 1. That the following described
territory contiguous to the City of Port Orchard be, and the
same hereby is, annexed to the City of Port Orchard and from
and after the effective date of this Ordinance, shall be and
become a part of the City of Port Orchard, subject to all the
laws and ordinances thereof, the said territory being more
particularly described as follows:
LEGAL DESCRIPTION: SECTION 34, TOWNSHIP 24 NORTH, RANGE 01
EAST; THE NW 1/4 OF THE SW 1/4 SECTION 34, EXCEPT THE WEST
225 FEET THEREOF AND EXCEPT THE NORTH 30 FEET OF SAID NW 1/4,
SW 1/4; TOGETHER WITH THE SOUTH 1/2 OF THE NE 1/4 OF THE SW
1/4 AND THAT PORTION OF THE NW 1/4, SE 1/4 LYING WESTERLY OF
STATE HWY #16, EXCEPT ROAD.
