AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO AND PROVIDING FOR
THE ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF
PORT ORCHARD
WHEREAS, Victor Barsay, et al, owners of the
real property hereinafter described, according to the
assessed valuation per general taxation, has petitioned
the Council of the City of Port Ochard that said territory
be annexed to and become a part of the City of Port
Orchard; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Review, as required by
law, has been convened and has made the determination
that it is in favor of the annexation of the area hereinafter
described. and
WHEREAS, the City Council did fix Monday, August 8,
1983 at the hour of 8:00 P.M., for the Public Hearing on
said petition and the Clerk of the City of Port Orchard did
give notice of said hearing in the manner provided by law;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council at their' regularly :scheduled
meeting on the Bth day of August, 1983 did hold a hearing on
said petition and unanimously approved the same;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT, AND IT HEREBY IS, ORDAINED
BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, as follows:
SECTION 1. That the following described territory
contiguous to the City of Port Orchard be, and the same hereby
is, annexed to the City of Port Orchard and from and after the
effective date of this Ordinance, shall be and become a part
of the City of Prot Orchard, subject to all the laws and
ordinances thereof, the said territory being more particularly
described as follows:
Those 15 properties in Section 36, Township
24 North, Range 1 East Willamette Meridian,
recorded in Kitsap County, Washington; that
lie contiguous to the east side of Bethel
Road and southerly from the Port Orchard city
limits to the north side of Lincoln Avenue;
as delineated in the attached sketch and as
specified in the attached 15 legal
descriptions. In addition, that portion of
Bethel Road adjoining said properties to its
entire width is also included.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard,
Washington this 8th day of August, 1983.
