THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That Ordinance No. 1105, Ordinance No.
1074, Ordinance No. 1043, Ordinance No. 1018, Ordinance No.
1004, Ordinance NO. 946, Ordinance No. 816 and Ordinance No.
667 (Section 13.04.010 Port Orchard Municipal Code) is
amended to read as follows:
Section 1 - Water Rates:
WATER
13.04.010 Water rates. (a) Effective October 1,
1979 a basic charge of seven hundred fifty dollars shall be
made and collected by the City Clerk at the time of making
application for a new water service connection on a City
street, plus seven hundred fifty dollars for each additional
dwelling unit more than the original tap.
The applicant shall also pay the actual cost of
labor, material, meter(s), street restoration and overhead
required in the making the initial tap on a City right-of-way.

(e) Compution of multiple connections:
Where more than one customer is being served through
a master meter and the billing is based on the flow through
such master meter, number of customers times the rate of six
dollars and fifty cents ($6.50) will be charged for three -fourths
inch service. This will result in the minimum monthly charge.
The overrun will be computed by deducting from the gross gallonage
an amount equal to the number of customers times the minimum
gallonage (two thousand five hundred gallons) and then applying
the applicable overrun rates. (Ord. 1105, 1979: Ord. 1074, 1978:

Section II. There exits, and is hereby declared to
exist, an emergency; and this ordinance is necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety
of the citizens of Port Orchard, and shall be in full force
and effect immediately upon passage and publication.
