ORDINANCE NO. 1202�
AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO HEALTH AND
SANITATION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD
AMENDING SECTION 6 of ORDINANCE NO.
647 (Port Orchard Municipal Code
6.04.100, 6.04.110 and 6.04.120) AND
ADDING A NEW SECTION 6.04.125.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That Section 6 (Port Orchard Municipal
Code 6.04.100) be amended to read as follows:
Section 6. Burning or Dumping Generally. It shall
be unlawful for any person to burn, dump, collect or
in any other manner dispose of refuse upon any streets, alley,
public place or private property within the City otherwise
than as provided in this Ordinance.
SECTION 2. That Section 6 (Port Orchard Municipal
Code 6.04.110) be amended to read as follows:
Section 6. Burning rubbish on private property.
Only the burning of natural vegetation shall be permitted
and shall require a permit to burn from the Fire Chief.
SECTION 3. That Section 6 (Port Orchard Municipal
Code 6.04.120) be amended to read as follows:
Section 6. Penalty for refusal to remove rubbish.
Any person who shall fail, neglect or refuse to remove any
refuse from any premises owned, occupied or controlled by
such person, either as owner, occupant, tennant or agent, or
upon any street, avenue, alley, highway or public place
abutting such premises, within seven'(7) calendar days
after having been notified in writing to do so by the city
building official, or any policeman of the city, shall be
guilty of a misdemeanor.
SECTION 4. That Section 20 (Port Orchard Municipal
Code 6.04.125) be amended to read as follows:
Section 20. Penalty for Violation. Any person
violating or failing to comply with any of the provisions
of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor
PASSED by the City Council and APPROVED by the
Mayor this 14th day of June, 1982.
