3. NEW BUSINESS:
a. Dick Hayes, Kitsap Transit, presentation on proposed ballot issue Proposition 1 - sales tax levy for public
transit.
b. Deb Howard, Project Leadership Kitsap, on placement of plaques for Mosquito Fleet in waterfront area.
c. Chuck Jeu, Kitsap Parks Board Commissioner, presentation on proposed recreation center at the park
located at Jackson and Lund. The park is within the City of Port Orchard taxing district.
d. Bid Opening held April 12, 2001 at 4:00 PM regarding Public Works Facility Interior

5. CONSENT AGENDA Items listed below are considered routine business. Individual documents have been (or will be) distributed to Councilmembers in
advance for study and will be enacted by one motion. If separate discussion is desired on an item, that item may be removed from
the Consent Agenda and considered as a separate item of business at the request of a Councilmember.
a. Minutes of the April 9, 2001 regular City Council meeting
b. Approval of Claim Warrants
c. Authorization for Mayor Weatherill to sign Addendum to Contract for incarceration of city prisoners.
d. Authorization for Mayor Weatherill to sign Joint Resolution with Kitsap county, Port of Bremerton, and the
City of Bremerton regarding South Kitsap Industrial Area Planning Process.
e. Proposed Resolution No. 1933 providing for a Conditional Use Permit for Kae Soung, LLC to redevelop
an existing commercial center to include a mini-mart/fuel station.
f. Proposed Resolution No. 1934 providing for a Substantial Development Permit for Kae Soung, LLC, to
redevelop an existing commercial center to include a mini-mart/fuel station.
g. Request for Council to declare 9 bicycles from the Police Lost and Found to be declared as surplus to the
needs of the City and authorize Chief Townsend to dispose of the bicycles in the best interest of the City.
