1. CALL TO ORDER – 7:30 PM a. Pledge of Allegiance

3. NEW BUSINESS:
a. Barbara Sessions-Kitchens, representing K.C Association of Realtors, regarding participation in
the 4(d) exemption process.
b. 7:35 Public Hearing regarding a Petition to Vacate a portion of an unnamed alley within Block 5 of Tom
Cline’s Addition to Sidney between South Street and Central Street as submitted by Jerry R. Connell, Bert
T. Connell and Kathleen A. Masterson. (Applicants have asked to continue this Public Hearing to
August 27, 2001 at 7:35 PM)
c. Proposed Ordinance No. 1824 amending § 9.24.050 of Ordinance No. 1724 relating to noise regulation and
repealing Ordinance No. 1802.
d. Proposed Ordinance No. 1825 adding a new section 5.28.025 to the Port Orchard Municipal Code
prohibiting house-banked social card games within the city limits.
4. OLD BUSINESS:
a. TABLED MOTION: Proposed Resolution No. 1940 expressing the Council’s intent to increase the annual
tax levy, if the City of Port Orchard is annexed into Kitsap County Fire Protection District No. 7, until it has
been determined when the city could consider implementing an increase of the annual tax levy and also
until the issue of the annexation into the Fire District has been resolved. (Motion to table by Councilman
Geiger, seconded by Councilman Stansbery – 7/9/01)
5. CONSENT AGENDA Items listed below are considered routine business. Individual documents have been (or will be) distributed to Councilmembers in
advance for study and will be enacted by one motion. If separate discussion is desired on an item, that item may be removed from
the Consent Agenda and considered as a separate item of business at the request of a Councilmember.
a. Minutes of the July 23, 2001 regular City Council meeting
b. Approval of Claim Warrants.
c. Authorization for Mayor Weatherill to sign Addendum to the Agreement Regarding Jury Panel for Municipal
Court. NOTE: This addendum increases the fee for a jury panel from $350.00 per day to $450.00.
