and the City of Port Orchard establishing the Planning Process for the South Kitsap Urban Joint Planning
Area.
b. Letter of Intent regarding Bremerton and Port Orchard Water System Improvements.
***** c. Health District request for funding support from the City of Port Orchard
d. Proposed Resolution No. 1949 appointing an agent to receive claims for damages as required by RCW
4.96.020.
e. Authorization for Mayor Weatherill to sign Agreement between City of Port Orchard and Teamsters Local
No. 589 representing the Municipal Court Employees (February 12, 2001 through September 30, 2003).
f. Proposed Resolution No. 1950 reestablishing certain employee benefits for non-union represented
employees classified as Administrative FLSA Exempt or Professional FLSA Exempt. (adjusts medical
premium co-pay and rescinds longevity pay for employees hired after November 1, 2001)
g. Proposed Resolution No. 1951 reestablishing certain employee benefits for non-union represent
employees classified as FLSA not exempt. (adjusts medical premium co-pay and rescinds longevity pay for
employees hired after November 1, 2001)

4. OLD BUSINESS:
a. TABLED MOTION: Proposed Resolution No. 1940 expressing the Council’s intent to increase the annual
tax levy, if the City of Port Orchard is annexed into Kitsap County Fire Protection District No. 7, until it has
been determined when the city could consider implementing an increase of the annual tax levy and also
until the issue of the annexation into the Fire District has been resolved. (Motion to table by Councilman
Geiger, seconded by Councilman Stansbery – 7/9/01)
b. Proposal to revise the city’s tree ordinance to provide for protection of old growth trees. (Growth
Management Committee 8/28/01)
c. Proposed Ordinance No. 1824 amending §9.24.050 of Ordinance No. 1724 relating to noise regulation and
repealing Ordinance No. 1802. (City Attorney 9/10/01)
d. Proposed Ordinance No. 1827 regarding signs in public right of ways, and political signs, and amending
Port Orchard Municipal Code Sections 15.16.020(3), 15.16.150(2) and 15.16.160(1). (Street/Alley
Committee 9/10/01)
