3. NEW BUSINESS:
a. Presentation to Councilman Stansbery and Councilman Van Zee in recognition of their service to Port Orchard
community.
b. Greg Berghoff from KPUD#1 to brief Council on LIDAR (mapping system) in Kitsap County.
c. Linda Tompson, Librarian Port Orchard Library, presenting an update on the Port Orchard Library.
d. Matt Ryan, Home Rule Charter Committee, presenting update on the proposed Home Rule Charter. After
discussion for and against the proposed Home Rule Charter, Mr. Ryan will ask for City support on the charter.
e. Proposed Letter of Intent between the City of Port Orchard and the City of Bremerton regarding Municipal
Boundaries and Urban Services.
f. Proposed No. 1839 Ordinance amending Ordinance No. 1797 relating to the use of privately owned burglary
and/or alarm systems, defining false alarms and offenses in connection with alarm systems, and establishing
fees and penalties.
4. OLD BUSINESS:
a. Proposed Ordinance No. 1828 establishing the Port Orchard Police Rotational Tow List and adopting rules and
regulations for eligibility and participation. (Replaces Resolution 1629) (Finance Committee 9/24/01)
b. Tabled for further review: draft Resolution regarding Revenue Sharing Interlocal Agreement (11/26/01) Motion
to table presented by Councilman Clauson, seconded by Councilman Stansbery
5. CONSENT AGENDA Items listed below are considered routine business. Individual documents have been (or will be) distributed to Councilmembers in
advance for study and will be enacted by one motion. If separate discussion is desired on an item, that item may be removed from the
Consent Agenda and considered as a separate item of business at the request of a Councilmember.
a. Approval of the following City Council Minutes:
(1) November 26, 2001 regular City Council meeting
(2) November 26, 2001 2002 Budget study session
(3) December 3, 2001 2002 Budget Public Hearing
b. Approval of Claim Warrants.
c. Proposed Ordinance No. 1840 amending the salary schedule for employees of the City of Port Orchard for the
year 2001. (To reflect wage adjustments implemented during the year of 2001.)
d. Proposed Ordinance No. 1841 adopting the budget for the year 2002 to reflect appropriations as designated at
the budget hearing held December 3, 2001.
