PUBLIC NOTICE
Storm Cleanup
PORT ORCHARD, WA – On Friday, February 8, 2019, Governor Jay Inslee declared a State of Emergency due to the storms that occurred with extensive snowfall, ice, and subfreezing temperatures.
Due to the several storms, City roads have become extremely hazardous and driving conditions are unsafe on many roads.
For the safety of our residents and staff, City Hall was closed on Monday, February 11th and Tuesday, February 12th, and opened for business at 10am on Wednesday, February 13th.
Since Friday, the Public Works crew have been working 24-hour shifts to make the roads safer with all plows laying sand and removing snow. Crews have been diligently clearing the City’s
arterial streets, following the established snow routes, and once they have determined those roads are clear, they will begin transitioning to residential streets.
We appreciate your patience while we work through clearing our roads after this historic storm and urge everyone to use caution when driving.
Should you have any questions, please contact the Public Works Department at (360) 876-4991.
