Section IV, TIME FOR BEGINNING AND COMPLETION, is amended to change the number of calendar days for
completion of the work to read: No change

SUPPLEMENT NO. 5
SCOPE OF SERVICES
(ADDITIONAL RIGHT-OF-WAY SUPPORT SERVICES)
TREMONT STREET WIDENING
(SR 16 to Port Orchard Blvd.)
The services to be furnished by BERGER/ABAM Engineers Inc. (hereinafter referred to as the
CONSULTANT), upon receipt of written direction to proceed from the City of Port Orchard
(hereinafter referred to as the AGENCY), are supplemented as follows.
The CONSULTANT shall provide the following services, which are either expanded scope from
the original scope of work, or represent additional out -of -scope services, in support of the right-
of-way (ROW) acquisition process.
Additional Right of Way Effort
ROW services are covered in Task 7 of the original contract, dated 10 August 2005. The
additional services listed below, considered additional to the original scope of work, are due to
an increase in complexity of the ROW effort for the project. In Task 7.2, Legal Descriptions, it
was "estimated that 20 legal descriptions will be required" for the project. Based on the project
layout today, the completed preliminary ROW plans identify 75 legal descriptions will be
required. These 55 additional legal descriptions have a ripple affect through the level of effort
required to prepare the ROW plans, produce the legal descriptions themselves, and to support
the AGENCY's ROW consultant.
This supplement only addresses the two items listed below.
■ Provide support to City ROW consultant during parcel acquisition
■ Provide legal descriptions (75 total, 55 additional)
This supplement excludes the extra work already performed below, that was identified in our
original supplement request to the City Council in February 2008.
■ Additional R/W plan effort
■ Provide support to City R/W consultant during pre -appraisal efforts
This work will be addressed in a future supplement.
