Our recent field investigation included drilling of exploratory soil borings. During the drilling we noticed strong odors in the drill cuttings of two of the soil borings. The drill cuttings were drummed (2 drums) and transported to our drilling subcontractor's facility. Due to the odor, the drill cuttings cannot be disposed conventionally without performing analytical testing, which was not included in our original scope of work. Thus, we are requesting this change order to cover the cost for analytical testing, result analyses and proper disposal of the drill cutting.
