DRILL TEST SITES FOR LOCATION OF COUNTY WATER RESOURCES
WHEREAS, the Dept. of Social & Health Services and the
authorized Utilities Coordination Committee of Kitsap Count`
see a need to determine the underground water resources in
the County, and.
WHEREAS, the United States Geological Survey has
agreed to drill the test wells with expenses shared by ahem
and the County, and
WHEREAS, the United States Geological Survey intends
to drill one of these test wells.on the property of Roland &
Roland Real Estate, Inc. near Blackjack Creek on the Hovde
Road, and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City.of Port
Orchard that this test well be drilled to determine future
water resources,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that this City Council
hereby:
Authorizes the Mayor to sign an agreement with Roland
& Roland Reat Estate,,Inc., Gig Harbor Highway, Purdy, Washington
to allow the United States Geological Survey to perform the
necessary work to drill a test well on their property as
stipulated in the above agreement.
