A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PORT ORCHARD ACCEPTING AND APPROVING THE FINAL
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STATEMENT OF THE WATER
SYSTEM IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM CONSISTING OF SUPPLY
MAIN AND RESERVOIR.
WHEREAS, the draft Environmental Impact Statement has
been offered to the public, concerned agencies and organizations
to generate comment on the possible environmental impacts of (1)
constructing a water supply main from the City of Bremerton's`
Anderson Creek pumping plant to the City of Port Orchard, and
(2) constructing a two million gallon water storage reservoir
within the City limits, and
WHEREAS, the official.notice.that the draft Environ
mental Impact Statement was available for review was given on
August 27, 1974 and that the review and comment began on August
27, 1974 and ended on September 30, 1974, and
_WHEREAS, the Port Orchard City Council conducted a
hearing on the proposed improvements and their potential environ-
mental impacts on September 9, 1974 at the regular Council meeting,
and no comments were received at this meeting,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT AND IT HEREBY IS RESOLVED, by the
City Council of the City of Port Orchard that the final Environ-
mental Impact Statement covering the (1) constructing a water
supply main from the City of Bremerton''s Anderson Creek pumping
plant to the City -of Port Orchard, and (2) constructing a two
million gallon water storage reservoir is .hereby approved and
accepted.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard
on this 14th-day of October, 1974.
