1147 - Resolution - Acquiring Property from the CountyRESOLUTION NO.
WHEREAS, the City Council of Port Orchard may acquire
property for the City of Port Orchard from another governmental
agency by means of private negotiation pursuant to RCW 35.24.010;
WHEREAS, the City Council determines that it is in the
City's best interests to obtain Lots 17 through 30, inclusive, in
Block 8 of the Plat of Tom Cline's Addition to Sidney from Kitsap
County in return for the deeding of City property located on
Taylor Street to Kitsap County;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that:
Section 1: The City of Port Orchard shall deed to Kitsap
County the following described real property:
Lots 7, 8 and 9, Block 4 of the Plat of Sweany's
Addition to Sidney as recorded in Volume 1, Page
55, Plats of Kitsap County.
Section 2: The City of Port Orchard shall accept as adequate
consideration for the property described in Section 1 deeding of
the following described real property by Kitsap County to the City
of Port Orchard:
Lots 17 through 30, inclusive, of Block 8, Tom
Cline's Addition to Sidney as recorded in Volume
1, Page 29, Plats of Kitsap County, together with
that portion of the Southeast quarter of the
Southwest quarter of Section 25, Township 24
North, Range 1 East, W.M., lying between Hemlock
Street and Mitchell Road and South of the Easterly.
Extension of the North line of said Block'8, Tom
Cline's Addition to Sidney excepting therefrom
any portion of the above lying within the limits
of the State Highway right-of-way.
