RESOLUTION NO. 1107 — l J
I,
WHEREAS, the disposal of all types of solid waste
within Kitsap County is a growing problem; and
WHEREAS, the formation of a long-range plan for the
elimination of these wastes is vital to the interests of all citizens
of the County; and
WHEREAS, the City of Port Orchard has joined with the
County and other cities and towns within the County to cause
a study of said solid wastes to be made, and a long-range plan for
the management of said wastes to be formulated; and
WHEREAS, Kit -sap County, in cooperation with the City of
Port Orchard and other cities and towns within the County, has now
completed the plan for solid waste management;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Port Orchard
concurs with the solid waste management plan as formulated by the
County, with the stipulation that the City of Port Orchard will not
expend any funds until January 1, 1976 or later.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard,
signed by the Mayor Pro -rem, and arrested by the City Clerk in
authentication of such adoption this 8th day of November, 1971.
