RESOLUTION NO, 1053 L1__
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE
CARRY OVER OF LEAVE TO TWO
EMPLOYEES OF THE PORT ORCHARD
POLICE DEPARTMENT DUE TO EXTEN-
UATING CIRCUMSTANCES.
WHEREAS, two of the members of the Port Orchard Police
Department, to -wit: Chief Gale Dow and Patrolman James Harrington,
have been unable to utilize all of their vacation leave during the calendar
year 1967 due to a shortage of personnel in the Port Orchard Police
Department; and
WHEREAS, due to these extenuating circumstances, the
City Council deems it appropriate to allow the two said employees to carry
over a certain portion of.their vacation leave, over and above the thirty (30)
days accumulative vacation leave allowed to be carried over pursuant to
Section 2. 28.050 of the Port Orchard Municipal Code; now, therefore,
BE IT AND IT HEREBY IS RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Port Orchard as follows:
1. .That accumulated vacation leave be, and it hereby is,
allowed to be carried over from 1967 until 1968, over and above the
authorized accumulated thirty (30) days vacation leave, for the following
personnel as follows:
