Re: Consent to automatically renew Memorandum Agreement
I am pleased to provide written consent to extend Agreement No. 048-14, making library
facilities available to the library district. The City Council, at its May 24, 2015, meeting, directed
by motion that the City send the District a letter agreeing to the automatic renewal.
The downtown library is the focal point of our community, which makes us all very proud.
Andrew Carnegies' statement that "a library outranks any other one thing a community can do
to benefit its people" is true here in Port Orchard.
