CITY OF PORT ORCHARD AGREEMENT WITH
SOUND LAW CENTER, LLC
THIS AMENDMENT to Contract No.030-09 ("Amendment") is made
effective as of the 1541. day of ()&D6ed' , 2018, by and between the City of Port
Orchard ("City), a municipal corporation, organized under the laws of the State of
Washington, and Sound Law Center, LLC ("Contractor"), a legal services company
organized under the laws of the State of Washington, located and doing business at
Seattle, Washington.
WHEREAS, on March 12, 2008, the City executed an Agreement for
professional services with the Contractor, for the provision of hearing examiner
services ("Underlying Agreement") during the period April 1, 2008 through March
31, 2009; and
WHEREAS, on April 28, 2009, the City and the Contractor entered into an
Amendment of Contract ("Amendment No. 1 ") which extended the Contractor's
term for the provision of hearing examiner services through March 31, 2014; and
WHEREAS, on February 25, 2014, the City and the Contractor entered into
an Amendment of Contract ("Amendment No. 2"), which extended the Contractor's
term for the provision of hearing examiner services through March 31, 2019; and
WHEREAS, the City and the Contractor now desire that the Contractor
continue to provide hearing examiner services for an additional five-year period
through March 31, 2024; NOW, THEREFORE,
In consideration of the mutual benefits accruing, it is agreed by and between
the parties thereto as follows:
1. The Underlying Agreement of March 12, 2008 between the parties, as
amended by Amendment No. 1 of February 25, 2014 and Amendment No. 2 of
April 28, 2009, both documents incorporated by this reference as fully as if herein
set forth, is amended in, but only in, the following respect:
The Contractor's term to provide hearing examiner services to the City
is hereby extended through March 31, 2024.
2. In all other respects, the Underlying Agreement and Amendments No.
1 and No. 2 between the parties shall remain in full force and effect, amended as set
forth herein, but only as set forth herein.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties have executed this Amendment on the
day and year set forth above.
